Quoting LTL Shipments
Navigating the Inxeption LTL Shipping App to request a quote for your shipments is a seamless process. Follow these detailed steps to ensure accurate and efficient quotes for your Less-Than-Truckload shipments:
Step 1: Access the LTL Shipping App
Navigate to the left panel and select "Quotes" within the LTL Shipping App.
Step 2: Initiate Quote Request
Click on "Request a Quote" to initiate the quoting process.
Step 3: Provide Order Information
If you're starting a new quote, fill in the necessary information. Fields marked with a red asterisk are mandatory.
Step 4: Specify Pickup and Delivery Details
In the Pickup and Delivery Details section:
- Indicate whether locations are Commercial, Residential, or Limited Access.
- Review and ensure accurate selection of accessorials; manually check if necessary.
- Choose Pickup and Delivery Dates for your shipment.
Step 5: Define Lane Details
Utilize the Lane section to precisely specify Pickup and Delivery addresses.
Step 6: Enter Commodity Information
In the Commodity section:
- Add specific product details in Commodity # for precise quoting.
- Specify hazardous materials if applicable. Must include HAZMAT Class, UN# and Proper Hazmat Shipping Name
- Use "Add Commodity" for multiple items.
- Declare the Total Declared Value for the shipment cost.
Step 7: Handling Units Confirmation
In the Handling Units section:
- Confirm the quantity, type, and any additional weight of handling units.
- Use "Add Handling Unit" for different unit types.
- Total shipment weight reflects the combined weight of the shipment and handling units.
Step 8: Get Quote
After entering the required information, click "Get Quote" to proceed.
Step 9: Review and Select Quote
On the next page:
- Confirm shipment details.
- Select a quote by clicking the blue checkbox under your preferred option.
- Review available carriers, transit time estimates, and pricing options.
Important Notes:
- The Freight Class is estimated based on density and subject to carrier review.
- Shipments qualify as Volume if they require 7 or more handling units and/or exceed 10,000 lbs.
Finalizing the Process:
- Quotes are generated instantly if carriers have suitable rates.
- Check your email for notifications if a quote isn't generated instantly.
Remember, any modifications made must be saved. Click "Save" in the top right corner of the screen to ensure changes are applied.
